I thank the Lord for a wonderful Ministers' Convention. It started off, Friday night with a banquet for the pastors and coordinators, which was prepared(to my understanding) by the ladies from the Elizabethtown, KY church. It was a wonderful time of food and fellowship. Then Saturday morning the convention commenced. The Spirit of the Lord was definitely present in a mighty way. Bro. Kevin Brown was on schedule to give a 10 min. sermon. I don't know if it was only ten minutes or not, but it was definitely anointed as he spoke to us about walking with hope. I don't have the scripture text with me right now, but he did a great job of following the leading of the Holy Ghost. Later on in the morning Bro. Micheal Jernigan preached a great message as well with his text being from 2 Kings 2. He spoke of how we needed to have the anointing of God. How that we can not live off of the anointing of saints in the past, just as Elisha had to receive his own anointing from God, and could not rely on Elijah's anointing, because Elijah was gone on. It was a good reminder that we need to be seeking the Lord for the kind of anointing that those that have gone on before us had, and even a greater anointing. There were many times throughout the course of the convention that the Spirit of God fell mightily. I, quite frankly, wasn't in much of a hurry to go to lunch, just enjoying the moving of the Spirit.
Well, guess I better get off here. Still have things to do before tomorrow morning and I do need some sleep eventually. Please be in prayer for our Children's Day that we are planning. We are having a meeting tomorrow to talk about this and other upcoming event(s) tomorrow to get everything lined out. We want to minister to our community through God's anointing.
May you walk WITH and IN hope on this journey for the Lord!

Thanks for the great report about your Convention! That's wonderful to hear. Brother Smith and I were in Minnesota this past weekend for a revival. Besides the customary evening services, they had a cookout and tent service at the pastor's home on Saturday afternoon. It was pretty neat. Almost everyone from the ENTIRE Region attended this revival! Some drove 500 miles to be there for the weekend and NOBODY stayed in motels--they all just piled in the members' homes like we used to do 40 years ago. It was the neatest thing! We were SO BLESSED by their dedication and sacrifice!
Wonderful report!
We received your card. Thank you so much! That was so sweet of you guys. God bless you.
I am sorry to say that I can take no credit for the card. That would be all of my wife's doing. I just now remember seeing the envelope before she mailed it, but that is about all that I had to do with it. I am glad you enjoyed it.
